Project description
Digital media and artificial intelligence are also becoming increasingly important in adult education. This presents new challenges for teachers, as they need to acquire the relevant skills.
The joint project therefore aims to develop a continuing education concept that promotes the media education skills of teachers. This concept does not focus on specific skills for particular teaching and learning contexts or individual digital tools and media. Rather, it aims to impart fundamental subject-specific and interdisciplinary knowledge for the meaningful and effective use of digital media in continuing education. Based on this foundation, the concept can also be used sustainably beyond future technological developments.
The subproject of the Chair of General Pedagogy and Educational Research at LMU Munich is responsible for developing a continuing education concept tailored to market and demand analysis. With the development, implementation, and dissemination of this scientifically sound concept, the joint project contributes to preparing teachers for the digital requirements of continuing education and to exploiting the possibilities of digital offerings.
